About us
MANAGEMENT
Carlos Gómez and Rafael Tamayo are cultural managers who promote arts and crafts through innovation and community work. Design curation, specialized publications, project management and marketing are some of the areas of expertise of the team.
NETWORKING
We are building a global network with institutions, creators and communities interested in capacity building and sustainability through arts and crafts. Some of our partner institutions are the Crafts Council (UK), Design Week Mexico (MX), Center Rog (Slov) and Studio Rain (Brazil).

From April 20 to May 8, 2025, the FGT's 2025 call for exhibition projects is open. The call seeks to select three visual arts projects to be realized and/or exhibited with the support of the Gómez y Tamayo Foundation. Proposals can be framed in the graphic arts, photography, painting, sculpture, design, or interdisciplinary proposals.
From May 1st to 4th, from 10 am to 6 pm, enjoy the literary exchange at Casa Amelia. Bring your literature books in good condition to exchange them for new readings. Take advantage of the spaces to read and chat with other readers.
Five continents, fifteen countries, one guitar. David Sossa will be the soloist at the Casa Amelia Cultural Center's inaugural concert. By donating your ticket, you're helping us promote cultural programming for everyone to enjoy.

Visión y Tradición llegá a Colombia
Design Week Mexico's renowned residency program will be binational in 2024 and 2025, thanks to a partnership with the Gómez y Tamayo Foundation of Colombia. The program unites designers and artisans in a unique experience of collaboration and learning. In this version, artisans from Aguascalientes, Mexico, exchanged knowledge with six Colombian designers to create unique pieces. The result is an exhibition that took place in Mexico at the iconic Media Luna of the National Museum of Anthropology and in Colombia will initially be held at Casa ENSŌ in El Retiro, the country's only design gallery, starting March 8.
